BooChat User Service Agreement

Introduction

Welcome to BooChat!

BooChat is a decentralized social networking protocol and instant messaging platform developed, operated, and owned by BURO Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company" or "we") of South Korea, with complete intellectual property rights.

Before generating your identity credentials and using the BooChat software and related services (hereinafter collectively referred to as "the Service"), please carefully read and fully understand this User Service Agreement (hereinafter referred to as "this Agreement"), especially the clauses that exempt or limit liability, the self-identity declaration, the assumption of risk, and the applicable law clauses.

When you click "Create Account," "Generate Key," or accept the Service through actual login, web broadcast interaction, etc., it is deemed that you have fully read, understood, and accepted all contents of this Agreement. If you do not agree to any content of this Agreement, please immediately stop interacting and uninstall/exit the Service.

1. Self-Sovereign Account Creation and Cryptographic Security

1.1 Anonymity and Identity Generation

• Non-Admission Registration: BooChat employs a decentralized identity verification mechanism. You do not need to provide any centralized personal information such as mobile phone number, email address, or ID card when registering and using this service. Your account is uniquely established by a public-private key pair generated by a cryptographic algorithm.

• Commitment to Civil Capacity: Although the platform does not mandate verification of your real identity, logging in and using this service constitutes your commitment to possessing full civil capacity to operate such cryptographic protocols.

1.2 Absolute Duty of Private Key Custody

• No Centralized Custody: You expressly acknowledge and agree that the company will not centrally back up, store, or custodian your mnemonic phrase, private key, or account password in any way. We have no access to, nor the right to alter or recover your private key.

• Private key is asset, and asset is control: Your mnemonic phrase and private key are your sole credentials for controlling your BooChat account, digital identity, on-chain social relationships, and associated assets. You must take the highest level of physical or digital security measures to safeguard your mnemonic phrase and private key, and never disclose them to any third party (including those claiming to be BooChat official customer service).

• Disclaimer: You are solely responsible for all legal consequences and economic losses resulting from the leakage or loss of your mnemonic phrase/private key due to your own negligence, cyberattacks, phishing scams, lost devices, or hardware damage, leading to account theft, loss of social relationships, or loss of digital assets. We assume no technical or legal obligation to recover, retrieve, compensate, or indemnify.

2. Decentralized Conduct & Compliance

2.1 Principle of Self-Responsibility

Due to the decentralized nature of BooChat, all statements, data, multimedia content, and interactions you make based on your own private key signature, broadcast, publish, or transmit are considered an irrevocable expression of your true intentions. You are solely responsible for all activities under your account.

2.2 Prohibited Content & Network Abuse

While using BooChat, you must not use this service to engage in any activities that violate the laws and regulations of your location or applicable laws and regulations, nor may you use technical means to disrupt the ecological balance, including but not limited to:

• Malicious attacks and network attacks: Exploiting protocol vulnerabilities to conduct dust attacks, denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, malicious traffic boosting, or using automated scripts (bots) to conduct batch interactions with fake nodes.

• Dissemination of illegal and non-compliant content: Disseminating or storing content that promotes terrorism, extremism, pornography, violence, malicious fraud (such as phishing links and pig butchering scams), or content that seriously infringes upon the legitimate rights and interests of others.

• Money Laundering and Illegal Financial Activities: Utilizing the communication convenience of BooChat and its derivative ecosystem to engage in money laundering, illegal fundraising, pyramid schemes, or unauthorized cross-border transfers of financial assets.

3. Intellectual Property & Decentralized Data Ownership

3.1 Platform Infrastructure IP

The intellectual property rights of the BooChat platform's client software, underlying architecture, smart contract code (excluding open-source parts), trademarks, visual interface design, and proprietary technologies belong to our company. Without our express written authorization, you may not reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative products based on the client.

3.2 On-Chain/Decentralized Storage Data Representation

Regarding the data you publish in BooChat that is stored through decentralized storage networks (such as IPFS, Arweave, etc.) or distributed ledgers:

You have control over it and independently bear the legal compliance risks associated with the immutability and inability to physically delete such data on a globally public network.

• To enable instant messaging and social media feed distribution within the platform, you grant us a global, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable right to allow clients to parse, route, transmit, and display such encrypted or unencrypted data.

4. Virtual Assets & Tokenomics

4.1 Smart Contracts & Asset Risks

The BooChat ecosystem may include distributed ledger-based economic incentives, deflationary burn mechanisms, node equity, paid subscriptions, or virtual asset interactions. All interactions are automatically executed through underlying blockchain smart contracts.

4.2 Irreversibility & No-Refund Policy

• Irreversibility of Blockchain Transactions: You understand and agree that once a virtual token transfer, consumption, burning, or subscription is confirmed by a smart contract and broadcast on the blockchain, it is irreversible across the entire network.

• Decentralized Refunds: Unless there is a serious logical system vulnerability in the client itself and the company reaches a special offline settlement, all deposits, purchases, exchanges, GAS fee consumption, or asset destruction caused by economic model deflation will not be eligible for centralized refunds, withdrawals, or rollbacks.

5. Disclaimers & Cryptographic Risk Limitations

5.1 Cryptographic & Network Protocol Risks: The company assumes no liability for any technical risks such as system paralysis, data loss, or asset devaluation caused by defects in the underlying blockchain network, distributed storage network, cryptographic algorithms, changes in industry technical specifications, or force majeure (such as a complete network outage or a policy ban on underlying tokens).

5.2 Non-Censorship Disclaimer: You acknowledge that BooChat, as a cutting-edge decentralized protocol, does not possess the technical means to conduct real-time pre-screening of massive amounts of encrypted communication content across the entire network. This company makes no express or implied warranty as to the authenticity, legality, security, or morality of any content posted on the platform by any third party or user. This company shall not be liable for any losses incurred due to your reliance on other users' statements, participation in on-chain projects, or being defrauded.

5.3 Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of this company and its team members to you under any circumstances (whether based on contract, tort, or other legal principles) shall not exceed the total amount (if any) of fees you have directly paid to this company in the past twelve (12) months for using BooChat core value-added services. This company shall not be liable for any monetary damages if you have not paid any fees.

6. Amendments & Governance

6.1 Amendments This company reserves the right to revise this agreement at any time based on technological iterations, compliance and risk control, and changes in the global legal environment. The revised agreement shall take effect immediately upon publication through official channels (including but not limited to the official website, client pop-ups, or on-chain announcement mechanisms). If you continue to use key-based login or interaction after the agreement is updated, it will be deemed that you have implicitly accepted the modified agreement.

6.2 Client-Side Restrictions

Although we cannot delete your decentralized identity (private key), if you violate this agreement or cause serious legal and compliance risks, we have the right to take restrictive measures at the client level, including but not limited to hiding your information flow, refusing to provide you with client routing optimization services, or terminating access to the official front-end interface for specific private keys.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

7.1 Governing Law

The formation, interpretation, performance, and dispute resolution of this agreement shall be governed by the laws of Korea (excluding its conflict of laws provisions).

7.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to this agreement shall first be resolved amicably through negotiation in the spirit of the decentralized community. If the negotiation fails, either party shall have the right to submit the dispute to a competent People's Court in Korea for resolution in accordance with its then-current effective legal procedures.

8. Supplementary Provisions (Miscellaneous)

8.1 Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is invalid, illegal, or unenforceable due to conflict with applicable laws and regulations, the invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Agreement, which shall remain fully legally binding.

8.2 No Waiver

The Company's failure to exercise or delay in exercising any right, power, or privilege under this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right, nor shall any single or partial exercise preclude the exercise of any other right, power, or privilege.

【User Compliance Confirmation】 By generating or importing a mnemonic phrase or clicking "Enter BooChat," you represent that you fully understand the risks of encryption protocols and voluntarily bind and accept the constraints of this Agreement.
