App Positioning

BooChat is a Web3 social app with a built-in non-custodial multi-chain wallet.

  • Social: Private and group chats with end-to-end encryption; users are identified by wallet address — no phone-number sign-up required
  • Non-custodial wallet: Mnemonic phrases and private keys stay on the user's device; we do not custody user assets
  • Not provided: Fiat on/off-ramps, centralized exchange services, or regulated financial products (securities, wealth management, etc.)

Test Account

No test account required. On first launch, choose Create Wallet or Import Wallet (use a test wallet; do not import a wallet with real assets).

Test Steps

1. Wallet (required)

  1. Create or import a wallet → set password / biometrics
  2. View receive address and QR code
  3. Switch networks (e.g. BSC, Ethereum, Polygon) and confirm address and balance display

2. Social (required)

  1. Add a contact via address or QR code
  2. Send text/image messages and verify delivery
  3. Confirm in-app end-to-end encryption disclosure

3. Permissions & policies (required)

  • Verify permission prompts (camera, notifications, biometrics, etc.) are clear
  • Open Privacy Policy and Terms of Service in Settings

Notes

  • Zero balance is normal; social features can still be tested
  • Mnemonic phrases are stored encrypted on-device only and are never uploaded
